Hello world!

After surviving melanoma and kidney cancer, I'm taking my fight to the ocean — cage diving with Great White Sharks to raise £20,000 for four cancer charities.

Counting down to the start of October 2027 — the month the challenge reaches the Neptune Islands.
I was diagnosed with melanoma at 35, at the same time my wife and I discovered we were expecting our first child. Surgery showed the melanoma hadn't spread, but scans also uncovered a kidney cyst. After years of monitoring, a biopsy confirmed kidney cancer and I underwent a partial nephrectomy.
My latest results have brought huge relief: no cancer-related genetic mutations and no sign of recurrence or metastasis. The journey doesn't disappear because of good news. It has made me determined to turn something frightening into something powerful for other people facing cancer.

In October 2027 I'll travel to the Neptune Islands in South Australia for a Great White Shark cage-diving expedition — including ocean-floor cage diving. I'm training now through my PADI Open Water journey.
The challenge at the heart of the campaign: meeting one of the ocean's most extraordinary predators in its own world.

The Great Shark Draw brings together brilliant local businesses, major experiences and community support to raise even more for the four charities.
Tickets: £5 = 1 strip (5 tickets) · £10 = 3 strips (15 tickets) · £20 = 8 strips (40 tickets — best value).
Donate through the fundraising page and write RAFFLE in the comments to receive your ticket numbers. Cash and contactless entries are also available at in-person events.

This challenge took another huge step forward when my application to GiveStar’s Adventure for Good grant was successful.
The grant helps cover some of the considerable cost of making the Australia challenge possible. That backing is separate from the fundraising itself: donations made through the campaign support the four cancer charities — not my travel costs.
From recording the original application video to receiving the news that the adventure had been funded, GiveStar has become an important part of the road to Australia.
